Autobiography
Beginning at conception, I was intrinsically wired with peace, love, and happiness, and throughout my life those values continued to cultivate.
My parents travelled the world for their honey moon and I was conceived in Australia. They visited many a places all over the good green Earth and settled in New Hampshire where I was born. Art and creativity runs in my family, in addition to hard work and strong scrupuls. My parents were very diligent in their direction to my brothers and I that "Education was #1". I learned how to write poetry in elementary school; I loved school because I loved learning and teaching (“there are many a people to follow and lead”, a line I say), creating projects and discovering new things, and exploring ideas and experiencing enlightenment. I worked hard in English class studying and memorizing words and the mystical way they went together, which came in handy later in life for my poetry and writings that, once compiled, will be a published book, entitled “Illumination: A Majestic Compilation”; an art piece that will also include pictures of my paintings.
I effortlessly evolved into a proud big sister, an honor student of school and life, and a wise-cracking, curious, and contemplative daughter of two loving and hard-working parents; both them and I with dreams as big as the universe and artistic visions to match.
During high school, I was part of student government for sophomore, junior, and senior years, where I fought for students to be able to drink coffee in classrooms (the debate concluded with a compromise: decaf was allowed). I completed two independent studies, which were designing and painting two murals (one for the school store, the other for one of the math rooms), putting my artistic vision into action, and worked 20 hours a week in a couple different restaurants, putting the hard work my parents instilled in me into action.
Somewhere between the years 2009 (graduation year) and 2010, I picked up the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle from my parents’ book shelf. That was when I first heard the word “now” as a power statement. I was hooked. Whatever it was, it was important, so I read on, and a seed was planted when I felt a physical sensation when I read a line in the book. Supernatural. I read some more, put the book down, meditated for a moment, continued my day...ending to pick that book up many, many times in the years that followed. Anyways, my parents had an array of inspirational, enlightening, and spiritual books that were ours for discovering and in addition to those books our house was adorned with relics and decorations from all over the world, representing the different cultures and religions of Earth. These broadened thought and fostered enlightenment by assisting in the creation of my consciousness and awareness (“now”) and shaping my spiritual journey and perception of existence. Another book that has inspired me significantly is about how the religions of Earth coexist; it's called "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh. This book enhanced my already strong view that we can honor our own faith while respecting the faith of another (a fundamental value); it was a book about peace and love and how those exact concepts - peace and love - are the base of life itself.
During my 20's, I filled my brain with interesting and positive influences, and I worked hard to study existentialism and educate myself on life and it’s complexities. I watched many informative movies/documentaries, listened to many inspiring songs, and dotted that time with some more very significant books. During a turning point in my life, my Grandpa, a very smart and kind man, sent me some books on Buddhism, among them a book called, “Coming Back to Life” by Joanna Macy, which is about environment, government, and enlightenment and is now a staple piece in my research on life and in my book collection; it totally lived up to it’s title, invoking passion and energy, inspiration and enlightenment…existence and what to do about it. I'm not even close to being done absorbing all the ideologies and information in it; I'll be opening the book again in times to come, looking for inspiration, both spiritual and educational. Another great and awesome book I have to mention, that my brother introduced me too, further cohesivifying my understanding of "now" and the human experience, existentialism and it's potential, is "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass. Total mind fuel. I actually lived with my brother for an interval of time that is priceless, time that didn’t last long enough. His compassion, music, books, art, writing, and pure intellect nurtured healing and wisdom in me and still does to this day.
At another point, I connected with a good friend and guru, and we spent many a hours enjoying movies, shows, music and books…meditating, and riding the train of life on tracks made of commonality, compatibility, and compassion…building on that strong bond with perspectives of existential pioneers. He introduced me to the book "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein, which further expanded my already growing mind on futurism and the topic of space beyond, the outer reaches of the outer space.
Now, as I forge forward on my current path, I'm buying my own books. I find most of my new material in thrift stores and antique stores, though Amazon is necessary occasionally. I am filled with passion, fed by books on spirituality, metaphysics, and history, and also, media (music and movies/tv) on the how the world works. In addition, I’m focused on spending time with family, committed to completing goals, and engrossed in optimism and success.
The labyrinth of life has been a fantastical adventure and I only hope it continues to be one as I carry on, fascinated with enlightenment, education, and evolution and conscientiously growing, learning, and thriving in this mysterious, whimsical, and rewarding universe. In the future I plan to open an artists’ loft where I can share my artistic vision and enlightenment with neighbors and nomads alike; a place to create art and chill; a peaceful hub for networking where all are welcome. For now, this blog will be the hub…as you will soon find out, there’s much to hub about…
ADDENDUM: Love, Hope, and Positivity
Much of my inspiration, drive, and energy comes from my family; my brother working so hard in college to complete a Master's degree; my other brother working so hard too, teaching himself guitar and riding a bike in the winter to get to work; my mom, completing numerous years of nursing school; my dad, who instilled in me my work ethic, artistic skills, and humor. And the rest of my family, we all work really hard and support each other on our journeys. I have a quote to share:
"Infinite the Love, Comfort in the Embrace
Family and Friends Stay Together Always"
I have a concept I'd like to share. We all have our own unique challenges and struggles in life; and although the type of challenges we face differ, relatively everyone suffers the same amount. I pray and I say "Please end suffering" and I write diligently, and I promote peace, morality, and optimism, and pray that this manifests. This is the concept: when you face a travesty, when you face suffering, you have two choices to choose from, two paths you can take; one is that you can turn this suffering into pain and hurt; the other is that you can turn this suffering into strength and inspiration. One contingency is that you have to have the right tools, access to the right energy, belief in the power of love. I am giving you the power of hope and love (and I am not the only one. There is hope and love in every moment, in every book, in every song, in every conversation, so tap into this.) I am able to pay forward The Message to you because of the support of my family, and education...So, now you can be the support and family to someone. We are all family on Earth; What else is there to believe in than the goodness of people? The more you tap into and utilize positivity, the more it grows, and that next moment becomes easier and better, and you access a future that is bright, and you free yourself from suffering, and you can help end the suffering for someone else.
SECOND ADDENDUM: Everything is Energy - Thoughts
(The following includes quotes and concepts from "Conversations With God: Part 1" by Neale Donald Walsch)
Building off the first addendum, is that love and positivity are energy. When you are aware of your thoughts, words, and deeds, and then consciously choose to make them the most moral, you move into the Highest Vision of yourself. The truth about this statement means the end of suffering. Change your thought, then and there, when it does not align with your Highest Vision; make sure not to do one thing that does not align with your Best Intention; make the agreement to not say anything that does not align with your Grandest Idea. By doing this you create the outcome of your world.
The thoughts in your mind, ideas, are energies coming together, and ultimately, these ideas create words and actions. This is life. Be fearless, be righteous, be the most good. Welcome your True Self, Your Wise Mind, Your Highest Self, Your Conscious, Your Soul.
